Daniel Gérard Rouzier

Chairman

Daniel-Gérard Rouzier became Chairman in 2004 following the creation of E-Power.  He was previously a non-executive director of Capital Bank Haiti, a known commercial bank of Haiti and, from 1996 to 2007, was a member of the board of SOFHIDES, the leading development bank of Haiti. He also held the position of member of the Board of Directors of the Haitian American Chamber of Commerce for five years and for Promo Capital, a Haitian American Investment Bank for three years. Daniel was also Chairman and Chief Executive of Economic Tires from 1988 to 1996 and a Consultant in the Minister of Economy and Finance’s Cabinet from 1987 to 1988. Daniel also worked as a Consultant for Arthur Young International from 1986 to 1987.

He holds a Bachelor in Management from the University of South Florida, Tampa, FL, a Master in Accounting from Georgetown University in Washington, DC, a Master of Business Administration from the Amos Tuck School of Business of Dartmouth College, Hanover, NH.

Litzbeth Abrahams

Member

Litzbeth was appointed Member of the Board of Directors at the General Assembly held on April 1st, 2015. 

She previously led a successful career with Marriott International and has acquired experience in Franchising, Marketing and Finance for over 21 years.  In 2011, she started her own consulting business and provides financial and accounting services to multiple companies as well as financial investments advice to individuals.

Litzbeth Abrahams holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in International Business from The George Washington University, Washington D.C.

Jean-Marc Apollon

Member

Jean-Marc has held shares since the company’s launch and joined the Board of E-Power in 2014 as a Member.  He is one of the main partners of SUNAUTO S.A., distributor of Chevrolet, Honda and Hyundai in Haiti and is also on the Board of ANMH (National Association of Haitian Media) representing Radio One.  He is a founding member of the KAP (Kolektif Abitan Petyonvil), Treasurer of the pharmaceutical firm Maison Apollon S.A. and a member of SOFIHDES’ Board of Directors.

Jean-Marc Apollon holds a degree in Administration from Bryant University, Providence, RI.

Pierre-Marie Boisson

Secretary

Pierre-Marie has had an impressive career in both the private and public sectors. He is the Founder and President of SOGESOL, a subsidiary of the SOGEBANK Group specialized in micro financing. Prior to joining SOGESOL, he served as Financial Advisor and Chief Economist of SOGEBANK, one of the leading local commercial banks, and before that as Senior Executive Officer for the International Finance Corporation. He has also held management positions in the Haitian public sector, once as a Cabinet Member of the Minister of Economy and Finance. Pierre-Marie holds a Bachelor in Civil Engineering from the Université d’Etat d’Haiti and a Master of Business Administration from the Arthur D. Little Management Education Institute. He is also a graduate of the prestigious Kennedy School of the Harvard Business School in Cambridge, MA.

Carl Auguste Boisson

Member

Carl-Auguste worked in the Petroleum industry in the Caribbean, as Operations, Finance and Administration and Sales and Marketing Manager at ExxonMobil and as the General Manager of Dinasa, a local distributor of petroleum products in Haiti. He also worked in the Telecom industry, as the President and General Manager at Atlantic Tele-Network.

Carl-Auguste is currently the Chief Executive Officer at E-Power, a local electric company that own and operate a brand new power plant in Cité Soleil, Haiti, and throughout his six-year tenure at E-Power, he has worked relentlessly to bring this company closer to its mission and vision statement.  He applied himself to develop and motivate the staff to run a world-class facility that can set a positive example for others to build a new way of doing, another way of being … a new current.  His unquestionable dedication to his work and to his staff inspires others to do the same for their company.

Carl-Auguste Boisson holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering with a Minor in Management from University of Miami.  He completed his undergraduate engineering studies at Faculté des Sciences, Université d'Etat d'Haiti. He started his career at the Port Authority of Haiti in 1984 were he was the Head of the Planning Unit. Thereafter, he worked successively for the Planning Office of USAID in Haiti, in the banking industry: as a Senior Relationship Manager at Citibank Haiti and the Head of the Credit Department at Banque de Credit Immobilier, Haiti.

Charles Clermont

Member

Charles was appointed Member of the Board of Directors in 2009. Before that, he occupied many high-ranking posts: General Manager and Chairman of the Internal Management Committee of the SOGEBANK Group, the local leading financial holding company and served as General Manager and Member of the Strategy Committee of SOGEBANK from 1993 to 1996. Prior to joining SOGEBANK, Charles was General Manager of SOGEBEL, the Savings and Loans affiliate of SOGEBANK after leaving his position of Credit Manager at BCI (Banque de Credit Immobilier), a local mortgage bank. He has also been at SOFHIDES, the leading development bank of Haiti. Outside of Haiti, Charles held the position of Sales Engineer at Automatixaciones y representaciones Ltda, in Colombia and that of Plant Engineer for MARC Ltda, a garment factory in Colombia.  From 1987 to 2000, Charles has been Vice-President of the Association of the Caribbean Economists (ACE). In 1973, Charles graduated from the INSA Institute of Toulouse, France (National Institute of Applied Sciences) with a degree in Engineering and, in 1982 he obtained his Master in Arts from Tuft University, Medford, MA. Charles also holds a certificate in Management from the Harvard Business School, Cambridge, MA, and a certificate in Financial Planning and Control from Colombia University, NY.

Jean Philippe Prosper

Member

Jean Philippe Prosper, who became a Board Member at E-Power during the most recent General Assembly in March 2018, is also an Independent Director on the boards of various other companies.

Until July 2015, Mr. Prosper was Vice President for Global Services at the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the private sector arm of the World Bank Group. One of his focus areas included IFC’s activities in fragile and conflict-affected states (FCS), a key priority for the World Bank Group. During that time, he co-led all IFC’s Investment and Advisory Services Operations worldwide and supervised a portfolio of over $70 billion.

In February 2013, Mr. Prosper became Vice President for Sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean where he oversaw IFC’s Investment and Advisory Services operations in 79 countries and managed a portfolio of over $20 billion. 

Prior to this, he was IFC Director for Latin America and the Caribbean responsible for all of IFC's activities in the region for one year.  From July 2008 to August 2012, Mr. Prosper was the Director for Eastern and Southern Africa and a co-director of the Africa department.  

Mr. Prosper joined IFC in 2000 as a Chief Investment Officer for Financial Markets covering West and Central Africa and a year later became Manager, Financial Markets for Sub-Saharan Africa, relocating to Johannesburg in 2003. Shortly thereafter, he relocated to Nairobi as Manager for East Africa. 

Prior to joining the IFC, from 1990 to 2000, Mr. Prosper worked for the Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC) – today known as IDB Invest), eventually holding responsibility for all operations in Mexico, the Andean countries, Central America, Belize, and Panama. Between 1986 and 1990, he worked at SOFIHDES, a private development finance company in Haiti, where he eventually became Managing Director. During this period, Mr. Prosper was also a professor of mathematics, statistics, and managerial and corporate finance at the State University of Haiti. In the early 1980's, Mr. Prosper worked as Advisor to the Minister of State of Haiti on Financial, Economic, and Industrial Affairs. He was in charge of all negotiations with multilateral organizations, including the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, and the Inter-American Development Bank.

Mr. Prosper is the recipient of the two most prestigious awards of the World Bank Group, the Diversity and Inclusion Leadership Award in 2010 and the Good Manager Award in 2011. 

An expert in Fragile and Conflict Affected Situations, Mr. Prosper holds an M.B.A. He is also a civil engineer with a degree in Mathematics.

Mr. Prosper is fluent in Haitian Creole, French, English, Spanish, Portuguese, and is proficient in Kiswahili.
